Craig Braden is a national Emmy nominated Director of Photography with over 20 yrs of experience. His work on films, national spots and music videos has taken him to 6 continents, and over 40 countries; shooting on every format from 35 millimeter to the Canon 5D. But it’s probably his work on Documentary features that showcase his true diversity. In the world of entertainment he has collaborated with Paul McCartney on 3 television specials, and worked with The Rolling Stones, Aerosmtih plus an array of other top Musicians. In the field of sports he has shot numerous TV Specials for MLB Productions (World Series) and NFL Films (Super Bowl). He has also worked on many historical pieces, including features on Cuba and Hart Island. Most recently he traveled to Haiti just days after the earthquake, working with the charity Vanity for Humanity to help raise funds for the victims. He is proud to have been a part of Worldwide Documentaries feature A Closer Walk, and considers his continuing collaboration with this team a privilege and an honor.

Gerardo Puglia is an internationally renownedDirector of Photography. He has been a member of the International Cinematographers Guild since 1990 and a recipient of many prestigious awards for excellence in cinematography, including two Emmys, a Peabody, and two entries qualified for the Academy Award.
A native of Cardigan Wales (the United Kingdom) born of Italian parents, Gerardo began his career at the age of 16, where he gained a reputation for innovative documentaries. He later went on to work as a Director of Photography for a myriad of film and television entities, including the BBC, PBS, CBS, National Geographic, RAI (Italian Television); Imagine Entertainment and Warner Brothers as well as numerous independent films and television commercials. He operated on the Oscar winning film A Beautiful Mind for Ron Howard and shot opening sequences for the television series Cold Case with a 35mm Bell and Howell Eyemo Military wind up camera. Documentary television series include: The People’s Century, Frontline, Sixty Minutes and the American Experience.
Gerardo also has a long-standing relationship with the Eastman Kodak Company where he consults in the development of innovative Kodak film technology. Known for his striking visuals and subtle dramatic use of light Gerardo is able to capture images in adverse conditions. He feels that cinematography is not really about cameras and lenses but who you surround yourself with and what lies in your heart. “Working with the Worldwide Documentaries team, especially Bob and Richard on Not My Life has been a spiritual journey shared with some of the most caring people I’ve ever met who truly want a better world. What I’ve learned from this film is that half of mankind torments the other, while the other half is tormented in the tormenting.”
With 17 years of editing experience, Anthony has worked with numerous independent film producers and directors as well as national advertising agencies and corporations. His work has received numerous local and national awards in commercial advertising, corporate launches, and theatrical film releases, including an Emmy, Cine Golden Eagles, Addy Awards, PRism and Vision awards. Not My Life is Anthony’s second collaboration with Robert Bilheimer and Worldwide Documentaries, his first having been A Closer Walk, which has been hailed as a “masterpiece” by film critics around the world. His other editing credits include several short theatrical films for Eastman Kodak Company and a 60-minute documentary for National PBS (Echoes from the Ancients) narrated by Anne Bancroft.
Heidi's career with Worldwide Documentaries began at its inception in 1985. After a number of years working as a production manager for an independent film company, Worldwide President Robert Bilheimer approached Heidi about joining Worldwide Documentaries, Inc. The idea was to assemble a small group of dedicated professionals whose goal would be to make films that would change the way people think about human rights, social justice, and what it means to be a human being.
Thus the journey began and now, twenty-eight years later, Heidi is Worldwide Documentaries' Senior Producer, with a wide range of responsibilities including production planning and supervision; day-to-day management of the company's global operations; and oversight of a small cadre of staff, consultants, and volunteers.
Perhaps Heidi’s most important contribution is the one she has made towards creating, and sustaining, Worldwide’s invaluable reputation for integrity, reliability, transparency, and commitment to the highest professional standards in every aspect of the company’s endeavors.
Heidi feels that one of the most deeply rewarding aspects of working at Worldwide has been the multitude of courageous and inspiring individuals she has had the privilege to meet over the years. "Many have remained dear friends, and all have left an indelible mark on my heart."
"Being a bystander to suffering is not an option," notes Jim Greenbaum, the Founder and Managing Director of The Greenbaum Foundation. A native of Monroe, Louisiana, and a graduate of the University of Virginia, Jim entered the workforce with one primary goal in mind -- to make as much money as quickly as possible in order to use those funds to help make the world a better place.
Jim founded and became CEO of Access Long Distance in 1985. Seven years later, at 32 years of age, Jim made the decision to give the corporate world only another eight years. Keeping true to that plan, Jim sold the company in 1999, soon growing his net worth to $133,000,000. Jim has committed to contributing in excess of 85% of his assets to charitable projects ending suffering (human and non-human) during his lifetime, and the remainder of his estate soon thereafter. The foundation’s assets will also be spent down during his lifetime. To date, Jim has already contributed more than $40,000,000 to the foundation.
Jim is passionate about bringing business efficiency and selfless, common sense approaches to the humanitarian world. He also hopes to encourage more high net worth individuals to become philanthropic, to do so during their lifetimes, and to follow an Effective Altruistic approach of giving for at least one-half of their giving. (Effective altruism is a growing social movement founded on the desire to make the world as good a place as it can be, the use of evidence and reason to find out how to do so, and the audacity to actually try. The primary focuses - Saving Lives; Ending Suffering; and Saving the planet.) Jim is a Board Member of Tostan, and also the Executive Producer of the modern day slavery documentary film Not My Life. Jim is a long time member of YPO/WPO and the Clinton Global Initiative, and also a regular attendee at Skoll World Forum, the Women Moving Millions Summit, the Animal Grantmakers Conference, and Global Philanthropy Forum.
Johan Weijers had a distinguished career in international financial diplomacy serving the Dutch government and various international development finance institutions both at senior staff and governing body levels. Now active as an independent international development finance consultant, he retired from his last international public position in 2012 when serving as Deputy Director Policy Analysis and Public Affairs at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Vienna. Before then he worked for many years as a senior manager in charge of resource mobilization at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London.
Driven by a desire to tackle the lack of awareness and ideological deadlocks surrounding social and economic inequity at the global level, he devoted a large part of his career to develop analytical and pragmatic policy scenarios which could be transformed into tangible institutional and operational targets. An important guiding principle in his approach was to help lowering the barrier to and sustain access to finance for deserving humanitarian and structural development causes by building international partnerships in both the public and private sectors.
During 2006-2010 he devoted a sizeable amount of time to mobilizing resources throughout the UN community and beyond in support of the production of the global documentary Not My Life (2011) and henceforth became one of its Executive Producers.
Acutely aware that human life has become a commodity in the forces of global trade and finance, Johan feels that the sheer volume, ubiquity and impunity of human trafficking nowadays compels us to consider our own human dignity. The widespread prevalence of various forms of modern slavery does challenge not just our basic rights and institutions that supposedly protect human civilization but also our very existential and individual choices in life. The economic concept of division of labour was never meant to imply or condone a cynical exploitation of mankind to the detriment of its fellow humans, indeed such would represent a betrayal of the human social evolution itself. This very thought has inspired him to continue his association as senior advisor to Worldwide Documentaries in support of the Not My Life Awareness Initiative which is now more needed than ever.
Chris Brubeck continues to distinguish himself as an innovative performer and composer. During the 70’s he began touring and recording with his father, Dave Brubeck. Chris plays bass, trombone, piano, guitar and sings and, in the past few decades, has earned international acclaim as composer, performer and leader of his own groups. On stage, his irrepressible enthusiasm is matched by his fluid command of jazz, blues, folk, funk, pop and classical musical styles. An award-winning composer, he is clearly tuned into the pulse of contemporary music. The respected music critic for The Chicago Tribune, John von Rhein calls Chris: “a composer with a real flair for lyrical melody–a 21st Century Lenny Bernstein.”
In the last decade, Chris has created an impressive body of symphonic work while maintaining a demanding touring and recording schedule with the Brubeck Brothers Quartet (with brother Dan on drums). Last year the BBQ released its second Koch recording, Classified which features Chris’s composition for woodwind quintet and the BBQ, “Vignettes for Nonet.” This innovative fusion of classical and jazz genres is performed with the Grammy-nominated Imani Winds. (Classified and the BBQ’s first Koch release, Intuition, were each in the top ten on jazz radio in 2007 and 2008.) Chris also continues to perform and record with Triple Play, an acoustic blues/jazz/folk trio with vocals that includes guitarist Joel Brown and harmonica virtuoso Peter Madcat Ruth.
Chris is a much sought-after composer, and has been commissioned to write many innovative works.
On special occasions, Chris continues to guest on bass and trombone with The Dave Brubeck Quartet. Chris has worked with many diverse artists, including Frederica von Stade, Ben Luxon, Dawn Upshaw, Bill Crofut, Meryl Streep, Willie Nelson, B.B. King, Gerry Mulligan, Bela Fleck, Bobby McFerrin, Stephane Grappelli, Bobby Womack, Tower of Power, and Patti Labelle. His compositions have been performed by orchestras all around the world, including the prominent U.S. orchestras of Boston, Houston, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington as well as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, and the Singapore Chinese Orchestra. Chris’s most recent thrill was performing with his brothers, Darius, Dan and Matthew, in an all-star tribute to their father, Dave Brubeck, as part of Washington’s Kennedy Center Awards, which was televised internationally in December, 2009.

Amy Detweiler has been a member of the Worldwide Documentaries team since February 2010. Hired as an associate producer, her work during the final production, editing, and distribution of Worldwide's most recent film, Not My Life, made her indispensable to Worldwide’s global programs and initiatives and earned her the position of co-producer.
Amy’s importance to Worldwide Documentaries lies in her multiple skill sets: on the creative side, she has developed editing and storytelling skills that are enabling Worldwide to respond to an ever-increasing demand for various iterations of Worldwide footage, especially from the current project, Not My Life.
Amy’s is also highly skilled in the use of digital technology and design, and is thus Worldwide’s web officer and social marketing coordinator, giving her overall responsibility for Worldwide’s paradigm-shifting marketing and outreach efforts.
Amy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the State University of New York, and is an accomplished textile artist. She is also the proud mother of daughter, Ella Mae.
Whether it is on the screen or on the stage, Devon has been bringing stories into focus for over a decade. Her background as a theatre director both in the US and in Europe provide her with a wide range of experiences and approaches she uses to shape and visualize the human experience, whatever the medium. These techniques combine with a natural affinity for attention to detail, efficiency and organization to ensure that the story is told in the best way possible.
As a theater director, Devon worked with numerous prestigious and award-winning theatres including Westport Country Playhouse, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Centerstage, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Goodspeed Opera House, and off-Broadway at Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Source, and Variety Arts. In addition to Not My Life, her film and TV work includes Trial By Fire: Lives RE-Forged, Discovery Networks, truTV, and Ron Hazelton’s House Calls, while other projects have included work with Radish Systems, George Washington University, The National Park Foundation, Testtube.tv, the United States Postal Service, Solar Power International, and the American Society of Landscape Architects.
When not telling stories at work, Devon is busy creating them at home with her husband and son. Her interests and hobbies include travel, cooking, knitting, reading, hiking, and anything related to her beloved Adirondack Mountains.
Tom Bergin began his career in film installing camera mounts in helicopters. Not long after, Tom began recording audio for CBS News, specializing in fast-moving, documentary-style journalism. Capturing sound while solving problems was paramount. Tom has worked on many documentary features, including An Inconvenient Truth and My Architect, as well as various project for PUBLIC POLICY PRODUCTIONS and MAYSLES FILMS. Not My Life and A Closer Walk epitomize why he became a soundman: to mic people and turn knobs in the pursuit of spreading knowledge.
Don began his career in sound recording in 1985 at an independently-owned, 24-track recording studio in upstate New York. He worked his way up from a studio assistant to a respected and sought-after sound engineer for recordings, film, and video productions.
His sound work has been heard on a variety of radio and television commercials, feature films, television programs, recordings, and even the Olympic Games. His clients include major corporations, national recording artists, independent filmmakers, and advertising agencies.
His most recent accomplishment as principal sound recordist for the internationally acclaimed documentary, Not My Life, produced by Worldwide Documentaries, Inc.
